Participate in Upcoming District Calendar Focus Groups | News details

Adams 12 Five Star Schools is thrilled to share that over 9,500 of our families, students, and staff participated in our recent district calendar survey. Feedback from the survey has helped identify top community priorities and now allows us to be more focused on what additional feedback we gather before making changes.

Therefore, we will be holding small discussion groups at our next Community School Council meeting, scheduled for 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, November 2 at Mountain Range High School (12500 Huron St, Westminster). During this meeting, attendees will see an overview of the survey results and provide feedback on three topics that the community has identified as top priorities for the survey.

These topics are:

  • Early Release Days (the current shortened school day on Wednesdays)

  • Alignment across grades: Changed the calendar to align across grades so that students in different grades have the same days off

  • Changes to extended breaks throughout the year

We encourage you to attend and share your thoughts with us. The comments shared in the focus groups will further inform the District Calendar Committee as it evaluates possible changes.

Free babysitting will be available at the meeting for children ages 3-11 who are potty trained. Interpretation into Spanish will also be provided. If you require interpretation in a language other than Spanish, please contact Frances Mullins at [email protected] or 720-972-4007 by 3 p.m. Friday and we will do our best to arrange the ‘interpretation.
