An East Dallas nonprofit is running a series of discussion groups for women of color to facilitate conversations about mental health.

Foundation 45, based in Deep Ellum, provides free mental health and recovery services and works to de-stigmatize mental health.

The four-week series begins September 22 and is open only to women of color so participants feel free to honestly discuss their struggles and experiences. Conversations will be led by a therapist Jan’l Lowry, and each week’s topic will build on the previous one.

Zoom meetings will take place from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. on September 22, 29, October 6 and 13. More information on how to access meetings will be added as it becomes available.
