A Welsh coastal cafe owner has shared some choice words with a customer after receiving a bad review.
Darren Randle, of Rhos on Sea, left an explosive response to a dissatisfied customer at his cafe and gift shop, Coast Café, after complaining about the price of two ‘appalling’ weak teas for £3.40.
The cafe, which currently has 4.5 stars out of 408 reviews on Trip Advisor, is known for its friendly atmosphere and has even won a Travelers’ Choice award.
In his response, he told the now-undesirable boss that he had “never heard such pot shit”.

The review was posted in January by a cynical customer, lenlenlena, who gave the Coast Coast Cafe only two stars and wrote: ‘Called today to get two teas to go. . . what an experience, not in a good way.
“Tea was, well, hot water and milk. Small sign that a tea bag was there. All for £3.40 for two teas. Have a laugh. Terrible teas. Better to go 100m to Forties or the tea room on the front in Rhos opposite this so called cafe. First and last time at this cafe.
‘Try alternatives. Scam or what, and what was supposed to be tea was literally hot water and milk.
“The price deceives me to pay it, but never again.” (sic)

Darren, unhappy with this damning review, originally posted a response which was later deleted by Trip Advisor moderators.
In it, the Daily Post reported that he wrote: ‘Jesus, I’ve never heard such pot shit.
“Firstly it’s £3.60 and we hardly get bad reviews unlike all your reviews, which you left at other premises giving them bad reviews.”
“People like me and my staff work really hard but obviously can’t please a wet wipe like you.

In a reply after the deletion, Darren insisted on his point and criticized the site for saying it saying “WET WIPE” it’s such a shame my first reply was deleted and yes it did maybe was a little strong unlike the tea hehe!
‘But I think business owners should be able to voice their opinion, if the person had stepped in and asked for the stronger tea it wouldn’t have been a problem because for the cost people don’t see the overhead and the staff cost the takeaway cup etc.
After the cafe shared the exchange on its Facebook page, many locals expressed their disdain for the criticism, calling it in bad taste.
One person said: ‘Ridiculous review always great service smiling helpful staff Darren has an amazing Coast coffee long may he go on.’
While another touched on the price saying: ‘I’d be happy to pay £3:40 for an infusion even though I’m on Universal job credit.’
And a third found the response hilarious, saying: “The review was a joke when they complained the tea was made in hot water and not good enough – isn’t that how everyone does it tea.”
