Agency on Aging will host focus groups in Madison County

(Published February 17, 2022)

What is your experience as a senior in Madison County?

The Central Ohio Region Agency on Aging (COAAA) invites older adults and people with disabilities in Madison County to participate in one of two upcoming focus groups. These small group conversations will provide residents with the opportunity to share their thoughts on aging in Madison County, the services they currently use, and what residents may need in the future. COAAA will use feedback from the focus group to develop its 2023-2026 Strategic Sector Plan.

There is an in-person session and a virtual session to accommodate as many participants as possible. As the number of places is limited, participants are requested to register for only one of the sessions. Full details are available on the COAAA newsgroups.

The in-person focus group will be held on March 3 from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Madison County Senior Center, 280 W. High St., London. Organizers require attendees to practice social distancing and wear a mask in the room and throughout the focus group conversation. Registration here.

The virtual focus group will take place on Zoom on March 17 from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. The link will be sent upon registration. Registration here.

COAAA’s 2023-2026 Strategic Sector Plan will advance the development of a comprehensive and coordinated service system to meet the needs of older people and people with disabilities to help them continue to live independently at home and in their community. The plan includes the eight counties in the COAAA planning and service area: Delaware, Fairfield, Fayette, Franklin, Licking, Madison, Pickaway and Union.
