The ICG invites BIG members to a fun evening of Wit and Wisdom on Wednesday 4th November at 6pm - SCI Belgrave Square.

We are going to mine the rich vein of experience running through the ICG.

Pecha Kucha (from a Japanese term for the sound of conversation) is a format which allows a number of people to present their thoughts and was recently successfully tried at the MRS. It guarantees plenty of variety and no time for boredom.

You will have 10 slides with 20 seconds to talk for each, giving you 3 minutes 20 seconds to impress your fellow ICGers with your take on the world of market research. Any topic related to MR is acceptable.

We already have sessions lined up ranging from such topics as "Intuitive communication and the secret of mirror neurons" through "Open source software", "Twitter" and "The fallacies of mathematics in market research" amongst others. Titillate the audience with your choice of images for your slides.

There will be a prize of a bottle of Saki for the highest wit quotient and for the highest wisdom quotient.

Wine and finger food from 6pm. The session starts at 6:30pm and lasts one hour - with a further hour for chatting and networking.

The pressure is really on the speakers, so it's guaranteed to be an enjoyable evening. John Habershon will officiate with genial ruthlessness. You will emerge a little wiser, a little more cheerful (and perhaps a little more mellow from the alcohol). Brave volunteers: please contact John - first 9 will take part. johnhabershon@momentumresearch.co.uk

Spectators: please book with David by the end of Monday 2nd November david@simmondsresearch.com Entry cost is £15 to all to cover the wine etc. Payable in cash on the door.
